Sorting out your utility bills can be one of the biggest hassles you will have to deal with while you are a student. They always come when you least expect them too, charge way more than you think they will, and inevitably cause arguments when it comes to stumping up the cash. 

As a new service for 2009/2010, all Student Cribs will be available with utility bills (gas, electricity, water and TV license) included in the rent. This makes life easier, spreading all costs equally throughout the tenancy and letting you go a whole year without ever having to see a bill. All you have to do is make a single monthly payment, which comes to us with your rent on the 1st of every month. 

There is a fair usage policy in place, meaning that if you leave the heating on solidly all year, or use the tumble dryer for 6 hours a day, then the charge could go up. However, if you are efficient with your power usage and undercut your allowance you get a refund at the end of the year.
